Jessie is a White Bear Lake native and has been doing hair since 1996 after graduating from the Aveda Institute. Upon graduation continued her training at the Rocco Altobelli salons. She became the owner of Jessie Tomme' Salon in 2004. Jessie stays active with traveling, golf, cooking and working out. She loves education and works with the guest to get a desired result. She loves a good cut and color to challenge her. Jessie believes "A great end result starts with a thorough consultation!"
Lori Caye has been doing hair for ten years! She graduated from the Aveda Institute in 1999 and has worked in the Mahtomedi area ever since. “I love the small town community,” she says. In 2000 Lori and Jessie ventured to Santa Monica, California to partake in a Vidal Sassoon cutting course. Lori recalls it being “a wonderfully intense week.” She adds that she still uses some of the techniques learned there. More recently Lori attended a Men’s cutting class at the Aveda Institute and has received makeup and color trend education through the salon. Lori excels at styling textured hair and loves using Aveda products in conjunction with specialized haircutting techniques to activate and enhance curl. “I love my job. I love my clients, new and old. My grandfather was a beautician back in the day so, doing hair and making people feel good is in my blood. I hope to be doing hair for many years to come. Thank you to all of my clients, past present and future. You allow me to do what I love.” Lori lives in Lindstrom, Minnesota with her husband and two beautiful children Dylan and Vivien.
Jessica is a White Bear Lake graduate who studied cosmetology at Century College, and has worked in the White Bear area for the past 6 years. Keeping up with training and education is very important to her. She attended the Vidal Sassoon Academy in Miami for a creative cutting course. She has participated in classes at the Aveda Institute, including Advanced Men’s cutting & cutting techniques with Timothy Day-Howard. Most recently she attended Aveda's Master Jam, learned new Creative Color with Ana Karzis and creative cutting with Mo Murphy. " I absolutely love my job and love being able to apply what I have learned on my clients!” Jessica loves working with dimensional colors, men's cutting and layers. “My job allows me to do what I do best...have fun and be creative!” In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her 7 year old sister and other family and friends.
After graduating from the University of St. Thomas with a degree in Entrepreneurship, Kristi attended the Aveda Institute in Minneapolis to put her creativity to use as a hairstylist. She has been working at the Jessie Tomme Salon since December of 2008 and has loved being a part of the team! She traveled to Miami for a Vidal Sassoon Creative cutting class, many Aveda training courses including Master Jam and creative cutting as well as in-house color and makeup trend classes. She volunteered for Aveda’s Earth Month events, and has been a key part in our ongoing in salon events. These experiences have allowed Kristi to grow quickly as a stylist, and she is confident that she can help you achieve the look that you are going for. Kristi absolutely loves styling hair for special occasions, such as weddings and prom; it allows her to transform your every day style into something spectacular. She pays close attention to detail and enjoy working with her clients to come up with styles individualized to their needs. “When doing any cut, color or style, I find a thorough consultation crucial. I have endless ideas on how to update, simplify or spice up your look. I will always go with the style you are comfortable with and leave you with tricks and tips on how to achieve your look at home! Coming to the Jessie Tomme’ Salon is an experience that I know you will enjoy, from the seated chair massages to paraffin hand dips to the fabulous style that you’ll walk out the door with, we’ve pulled out all the stops! I have a passion for what I do and would love to share that with you!”
A Scandia native, Katie began working in this industry at 16 years old, and is proud to say that she’s worked with Aveda products for over 10 years! As time went on she realized how much she enjoyed the salon atmosphere and working with people. Katie attended the cosmetology program at the Aveda Institute in Minneapolis. She has been a stylist for 5 years and has been a part of the Jessie Tomme' Salon for 4 years. Katie went to Miami to attend a Vidal Sassoon cutting class and has taken many Aveda advanced training courses in cutting and coloring. "Continuing education is what keeps me excited and passionate about my job!" Katie's attention to detail allows her to customize haircuts and colors to her guests' needs. Her specialties include working with thick and mid length styles, men cuts and coloring. Having naturally curly hair herself, she is also good with wavy and curly hair. Katie enjoys spending time with her family in her free time. "I am very passionate about what I do and love being able to make people feel good!"
“When I was a little girl I have wanted to get into this industry, upon graduating high school, choosing the Aveda Institute Minneapolis was an easy choice," says Rhianon. As a North St. Paul native, Rhianon knew she was going to stay in the Twin Cities and after looking into various salons found her fit with the Jessie Tomme' Salon. She is eager to continue building her clientele and tending to the needs of the community. Rhianon enjoys the variety that this business brings and she in intrigued by both coloring and cutting hair. She excels with long styles and men’s cuts, which has helped her in building a following. When Rhianon isn’t at work in the summer, she is jet skiing around local lakes, and playing softball. In the winter she can be found on a snowmobile trail or with friends.
Brenda is the skincare therapist, bodywork therapist and makeup artist at the Jessie Tomme' Salon. She's been doing bodywork for 15 years, skincare for 12 and makeup for over 20 years. Brenda Aveda's journey began with a move to Santa Barbara, CA from Iowa in 1997. It was there where she joined the Walter Claudio team as a body work therapist. After some time growing the massage department there, she decided to add to her spa resume by getting an Aesthetics degree. She continued to build a thriving business there for 5 years before moving back to the Midwest and worked for another concept salon for a year and a half. From 2004-2009 she was the Spa Educator for Aveda Services Midwest where she was responsible for continued education and training of the spa graduates working in the field. Brenda is passionate about education and being able to bring her guests the information they desire! She always works with her guest in mind to get the desired results and will offer them the best treatment she can give them. "I believe in and am excited to give the Jessie Tomme' guests an experience unlike any they've had, not just a service." Brenda offers full-body waxing, massages, facials, brow and lash tinting, eyelash extensions, body treatments and makeup applications and lessons. She is also is active with the Big Brother's/Big Sister's organization and has a "little" for 3 years. Brenda plays a big role in the monthly makeovers and believes that in giving you receive! In her spare time you'll find her playing softball, biking, running, spending time with her dog, Kyan and bird, Brinly or riding her Harley.
